On Saturday, September 12th we set out on our 2nd annual Brew Fondo around Vancouver’s Lower Mainland. We covered Vancouver, Burnaby, Port Moody, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Pitt Meadows, Langley, Surrey, Delta, New Westminster and Richmond. This year’s ride came in at just under 150 kilometres. Here’s the link to my ride on Strava.
This year’s breweries were (in order of visit, not preference):
- Central City Brewers & Distillers
- Four Winds Brewing Company
- Steel & Oak Brewing Co.
- Strange Fellows Brewing
These are all great places to visit if you love beer – and we do. It was a tough day, but man… it was oh-so-good to break up the tough stretches with a nice glass of beer (and a pretzel or other snack).
I may write a bit more about this year’s ride soon, but I’m also starting to think about how we can make the ride bigger and better next year.
Cheers!
